Skills that Children need

I have 5 children, 4 sons and 1 daughter. I have successfully equipped them with basic skills that should allow them to survive better in the modern world:

1. cycling, all managed to cycle by Primary 1 or 6 years old except one son, He only managed to cycle when he was at Primary 4, around 10 years, but he was the most obsessed with cycling, even buying a motorcycle as a hobby, despite my discouragements. I had to force him to cycle. At least he equipped himself with the latest safety such as full face helmet and body armour. But the youngest son is stubborn because he only listen to his friends without doing any research himself, but he is also the weakest student.

2. swimming. By primary 3 all managed to swim except one son. The eldest 3 children were trained by the same coach that once trained Lim Kim Liat, an Asian champion at Sandakan Yacht club. That son just didn't want to participate in an organised coaching session but with my urgings, he was able to swim finally. We need to constantly remind our children and scold them as much as possible.

3. 10-finger touch typing. Not sure if all of them can consistently touch type but I will not tolerate them if I see them not using 20 fingers.

4. Driving licence. All of them have driving licences.

5. Bachelor degree. All of them. The youngest has the lowest secondary school qualification but still good enough for some courses. He took Hotel management at UMS.

6. Self defense classes. All of them have basic training in Tae Kwon Do. The eldest 2 achieved black belt as a junior, when still in school. At least they know how to punch and kick.
